It is designed to strengthen personal motivation for and commitment to a specific goal by eliciting and exploring the personís own reasons for change within an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion.

arrow Solution Focused Brief Therapy
Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), often referred to as simply 'solution focused therapy' or 'brief therapy', is a type of talking therapy based upon social constructionist philosophy. It focuses on what clients want to achieve through therapy rather than on historical problem(s) that made them seek help.[1] The approach focuses on the past only in order to activate conversations about resources and past successes. Predominantly, it purposefully activates and focuses conversations on the present and future. The therapist/counselor uses respectful curiosity to invite the client to envision their preferred future.

These approaches are tailored to an individuals needs to allow clients to explore issues at their own pace in order to move forward in their lives.
